Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 · Whale Digital ConsultingWe keep this simple, because that's how we work. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it — in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988, Cth).
What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, email, company and anything you write in our contact form. We use these to reply to you and scope your project. Nothing else.
- Site analytics — Google Analytics (GA4) — page views and which pages people use, so we know what's working. Google Analytics uses cookies and may see your general location and device type. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — we use Meta's Pixel to see which pages of our site people visit and whether they submit our contact form, so we can measure our own ads. This uses cookies and may be linked to a Facebook/Instagram account if you're logged in. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
What we don't do
- No selling, renting or trading your information — ever.
- No marketing emails unless you've explicitly asked for them, and you can opt out with one click.
- We don't build custom audiences or retarget you with ads based on this data at this time.
Cookies and opting out
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site still works without them, though we won't be able to see anonymous analytics for your visit. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To control how Meta uses your data across sites, visit your Facebook ad preferences.
Where it's stored
Enquiry details live in our email and project systems, accessible only to the team working on your job. We keep them while we work together and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping, then delete them on request.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll sort it within a few business days.
Client websites
Websites we build for clients have their own privacy obligations. We build them to collect the minimum necessary and to meet the same standards described here, but each business is responsible for its own policy.
